Between Dark Jazz and Sugar Pop
When Joe Vortex went out to find the most beautiful bass sounds in the solar system, he finally found a way to deal with the sadness in himself.
He also discovered a fountain of love, everlasting friendship and a puddle of chocolate icecream. Don't expect him to come back too soon.
In the meantime you might want to listen to some of his music. Also you will eventually meet a bunch of his friends, all very lovely people.
Dingleberry Dance Dorks is a distribution company, founded exclusively for the music of the namend clients, artists and friends. This is basically a nonsene text. The music, though, is serious! As our projects are constantly developing, the site will expand step by step.
We at Dingleberry Dance Dorks proudly present the music of our artists:
The Chrome Tones, Hot Swirl and Nohabit.
They have come a long way to get here. From the early days in dirty and moldy basements in Kreuzberg, barely surviving with no food and no money, the only thing they always had was music.
So they listened, played and learned. They found ways to move on, met and lost friends, and they are still around, doing what they love most.
This Site is dedicated mainly to celebrate the work of Joe, the bass player, probably the most stubborn guy you can find. He never stopped to believe in his art, though the circumstances where not always the best for him. There where always friends around who supported him, though.
The main goal of his band "nohabit" is to play live and celebrate rock'n'roll. You might catch them on festivals every now and then. Also feel free to contact us anytime if you have opportunities for a gig.
The other two projects have developed over time.
"Hot Swirl" is more electronic, sort of ambient dance music. All instrumentals, designed to transport melody and rhythm in the best possible way.
The Chrome Tones, finally, are what comes together when you take everything that doesn't fit for the rest. A labour of love, made with passion and honesty - but also sometimes with a sense of humour.
It shows scars and injuries, but also the joy of bringing something beautiful into our world.
Please sit down, take your time, probably have a nice cup of tea and listen.
